Scrub Month: Week 3 – Scrubee and Scrub Love review…

This week for Scrub Month I am reviewing two exfoliating products. My skin has been so dull lately so over the last couple of weeks I have been trying these products in the shower or bath to scrub my skin and hopefully put a bit of life back into it! The nice weather we are having here in the UK is making everything look shiny and new and I’m just over here looking like a dull potato…not anymore! I will be a smooth, glowing dolphin goddess! I WILL.

Anyway, before I get too carried away like usual, let’s get into the reviews.

Ok so the first one is the Scrubee exfoliating bar from Lush. The main ingredients are cocoa butter, shea butter, coconut oil, ground almonds and honey. Woah…this smells like an absolute dream and it is also in the shape of a cute little bee. For £6.95 you get a good palm sized bar that I think will last a while. I have used this quite a lot over the past couple of weeks and it’s still kept its bee shape relatively well. What I like most about this is that the bottom is a big chunk of just the butters without the ground almonds so after you’ve scrubbed you can use the underneath as an in shower moisturiser. This is great for easily damaged, eczema prone, sensitive skin. Winner! Love it! I want all the Scrubees in the world!

So next up is the Scrub Love coffee exfoliator in Coconut Affair. The main ingredients for this scrub are roasted organic coffee grounds, organic coconut flakes, extra virgin coconut oil, baobab oil and coconut milk. Mmmmmmm an organic beachy dream. For £13.95 you get a 200g pouch, which to be honest is a bit expensive for me. At first I thought it was going to be a bit rough for my skin to handle but it was surprisingly soft and sort of melted into my skin a bit. The instructions are to wet the skin, scrub and leave to dry for 5 minutes. My skin couldn’t handle the drying part so I just left it on for around a minute and when I washed it off my skin was super soft, moisturised and flake free! It’s great! I don’t think I would use this exfoliator more than once a week, as my skin is still quite weak but I’ll defiantly keep trying. I was also really excited to receive another pouch in this months Birch Box!

What are your favourite exfoliators for sensitive skin?
